Carys Donahue opinion on Verse Ecclesiastes 3.6  A Time To Sea

The world revolves around an uncontrollable force called time. Seconds to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, weeks, months and years are measures of life in general. Time is also an essential tool or factor that determines anything and everything in life be it success or failure. Its usage or misuse all have rewards and consequences.

The more attention we pay to timing can go a long way to highlight and determine what we achieve in life. Knowing what to do and when to do it is also a very important skill as we sojourn through life and its escapades. This is the difference between a productive person and an unproductive person.

Our review verse clearly highlights the importance of time saying that there is a time to search and there is a time to give up. It further reads that there is a time to keep and a time to throw away. This verse should challenge our curiosity and force us to think deeply about our actions and reactions to situations of life.

We as humans encounter various situations that force us to act the way we do or make and take decisions a certain way. Most times, we hold some negativity real close in form of friends, feelings and emotions. We know we need to drop these negative energy but due to fear of change or fear of being alone, we endure and continue to suffer within. These negativity can at the end cut us real deep or tear us apart and it might be very difficult to heal.

In our review verse, it is clearly stated that there is a time to hold on to something and there is a time to give up on them. Some things are really not meant to be, some relationships are not supposed to be forced, some friendships are not to be kept, there is a time we just have to let go and move on. Identifying the time to hold on or finally let go is key in determining how our future would become. Letting go of old things creates space and allows for new, better ones to come in.

As Christians, we should try as much as possible to understand the essence of time and decisions. Decisions are tied to timing, just like doing the right thing at the wrong time gives no real valuable result, making or taking decisions at the wrong time would only bring about a negative output. God himself took different decisions on different days while creating the world, these decisions proved to be taken at the right time as everything He made was good.

It might not be easy to effectively and efficiently make good use of our time but planning is key. Like they say, if you fail to plan you plan to fail. The way we plan our day, week, month or years can go a long way in guaranteeing a successful life. In addition, having it in our mind that there is a time to search, give up, keep and throw away can help us immensely in our decision making process. This alongside prayers and the grace of God, we are success bound.
